Discovery Camp

Created to be the perfect introduction to sleep-away camp for young boys and girls. Discovery campers get to try out every part of camp, tailored to their smaller sizes! They will go on pony rides, climb our giant trees, spend hours at the waterfront, make arts and crafts, and play games of all kinds both with their group and the main camp. Discovery has a lower camper-to-staff ratio and stays in Hope Lodge, separately from older campers in Western Town. DC campers will discover the joys of summer camp and build their confidence!

Leaders in Training

Leader in Training (LIT) equips young people with the social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual tools required to lead well in and outside of camp. The 3 week program is set up to promote the growth of LITs through a variety of activities including: a canoe camping trip, character-building activities, sessions that will help deepen thier faith and explore questions about God; as well as practical skills training in customer service, communication, and how to provide care and mentorship to a younger child. In the third week, our LITs will be given the opportunity to put their skills into practice as they shadow a staff member during a full week of camp. Upon successful graduation, LITs who are in good standing are encouraged to apply to stay on and volunteer for the remainder of the summer. Designed specifically for high school students who have finished grade 10, applicants are accepted into the program based on their application, interview and references. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent once all references have been received. Please contact our office for information about our Camper Scholarship Program if finances are a barrier in your child attending LIT, there are scholarship funds available specifically for the LIT program.
